Elementary Associate Teacher (2024-25)
Description
Crestview Preparatory School, an independent K-6 school located in La Canada Flintridge, is seeking an associate teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
Crestview’s goal is to provide a strong academic program within a positive and nurturing educational environment. Candidates must have a passion for teaching and believe in the potential of all students to learn and progress. The ideal candidate likes and relates well to children, has a sense of humor, and has strong writing and communication skills. This individual should be comfortable with creating a learning environment that is supportive by using a variety of instructional methods that address individual learning styles and integrates theory with hands-on classroom experience.
As this position requires working with two lead teachers, the ability to work collaboratively as a team, as well as, to work independently is crucial. Aside from the usual classroom responsibilities, elementary teaching associates provide supervision at morning recess and lunch supervision daily.
Experience working with children is required. Ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a teaching credential program. Tuition remission up to $4,000 per year is a part of this position's compensation. Hourly compensation $25.
