Do you have a mystery you need solved? The third grade detective squad is in training! We are becoming expert sleuths during our mystery unit in reading. We have been inspired by the kid detectives in our read aloud books The Diamond Mystery by Martin Widmark and The Absent Author by Ron Roy. We have been looking for clues, trying to spot red herrings, and racing to solve the mystery before the crime solver in our stories does. Building skills around mystery reading is a great way to build our fiction reading skills.
