We recently concluded the California missions unit in our social studies curriculum with a California missions project and report! The kids had the opportunity to choose from a variety of project options, ranging from making mission models, creating Minecraft mission videos, Google slideshows, and visiting their assigned mission to film themselves as tour guides! We even had mission graphic novels and audiobooks! The reports were centered on the Native Californians' lives in the missions, as well as their contributions to the construction and success of the missions. It was awe-inspiring to see how the students' creativity, diligence, and dedication came to life in their projects!
