We’re excited to announce that Walk-a-Thon will be held in-person on May 15th! This year marks the first time WAT has been in person since 2019. It’s also the first time in as many years we will gather as a school community. We need your help to make this year's event a success - please sign up for a short volunteer shift the day of the event via the link below! We especially need help with set-up, check-in, pancake cooks, and decorations.
What is Walk-a-Thon?
All Crestview students and families, alumni and prospective families gather at our neighboring St Francis High School where the kids walk the track to meet classroom lap goals. We ask that student walkers meet a suggested pledge amount, with all proceeds benefiting the school. As is tradition, we kick off the day with a delicious pancake breakfast, and the kids will participate in the traditional Parade of Classes prior to countdown.
This year’s theme is “Walking on Sunshine”, which we hope reflects the excitement and energy of coming together as a school community! You can expect music, merriment, and lots of fun! We have a couple fun surprises in store too.
Keep an eye out for additional information in coming weeks.
When is it?
Walk-a-Thon will be held from 9 am to noon on Sunday, May 15th, with breakfast served starting at 8 am.
How can I help?
Please look out next week for a Sign-Up Genius with opportunities to volunteer for various committees including check-in, breakfast, decorations, finish line and water station. There are several volunteer slots, most about an hour long to allow you to volunteer but still participate alongside your kids. Walk-a-Thon is led by the school’s Parent Association and depends on parent volunteers! Questions? Please reach out to Geneva Youel at [email protected].
