To celebrate the meaningful impact educators have, TCS awarded 50 teachers from around the country to toe the line at this year’s New York City Marathon on November 6, 2022. One of this year’s educators chosen is one of our 4th grade teachers, Jackie Baker. Ms. Baker is also a Girls On The Run international brand ambassador as well as our school’s head coach. She is also represented by brands; Hylands Homeopathic, RNNR apparel, and Michelob Ultra. Most recently, she partnered up with the Boston Athletic Association and Dave McGilvary; the race director of the Boston Marathon, to help create the curriculum for the Dream Big Marathon program. A K-12 co-ed social/emotional running program that motivates students to read 26 books, run 26 miles, and complete 26 acts of kindness in the community. Ms. Baker knows the direct impact that her goal setting has on her past and present students and athletes. She is determined to run the six Abbot World Marathon Majors in the coming years. Upon completing New York this year, she will have three remaining.
