Second Grade

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the second graders have started an enlightening journey of discovery. With a mission to learn about influential Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, these young scholars are diving deep into the pages of biographies and crafting insightful book reports. Through meaningful reading experiences, important note-taking, and paragraph writing, second graders are discovering the profound impact of diversity and inclusivity. Some examples of influential figures chosen by students are Suni Lee, Shohei Ohtani, Shigeru Miyamoto, and Kalpana Chawla. From colorful illustrations to heartfelt reflections, each report will be a testament to the dedication and creativity of these young learners.
