Third Grade

In Third Grade's embrace,
Worlds unfold in pencil lines,
Learning in sweet grace.

In third grade, we are ending the year by studying poetry. We are delving into the works of great poets such as Shel Silverstein and Elizabeth Steinglass, drawing inspiration to craft our own verses. From the concise beauty of haikus to the structured elegance of cinquains, from concrete poems shaping meaning through form to the sparkling freedom of free-verse, we are exploring the diverse landscapes of expression. I look forward to witnessing the creativity of our third-grade poets as they paint vivid pictures with their words, which bring their poems to life.
