Walk-a-thon

The day began with a delicious pancake breakfast, giving everyone a chance to connect and fuel up for the Walk-a-thon. Fourth grader, Mikko J. then set the tone with a beautiful rendition of the national anthem, drawing cheers and inspiring attendees. Spirits were high as students participated in the lively parade of classes, with each class proudly carrying a banner they created inspired by a music genre and song of that genre.

The event was filled with impressive accomplishments. Fourth grader, Zephyr G. broke the school record, running an incredible 73 laps or 18.25 miles—congratulations, Zephyr! Collectively, our 200 students covered 1,134 miles, with Mrs. Rogers's third-grade class leading the pack at 123.5 miles. A total of 31 medals were awarded to the top two lap walkers/runners in each class. Everyone enjoyed the ideal weather, lively DJ music, and refreshing snacks, with reusable water bottles for each student adding an eco-friendly touch to the day. Thank you again to all who made this unforgettable day possible!
