Second Grade Community Service Project

We are excited to share the heartwarming success of the second-grade community service project. Throughout the year, the students have expressed their joy and appreciation of animals, especially pets that are special to them, like dogs and cats. During the challenging time in January, the students wanted to give back to animals in the community. Pasadena Humane Society has been so kind to animals, especially those displaced, so we thought it would be nice to show the pets that are waiting for adoption some love.

For this project, students from both second-grade classes worked collaboratively to make cat toys to be donated to the Humane Society. This project allowed students to practice kindness and empathy while fostering creativity and teamwork. This hands-on activity was both fun and rewarding! We look forward to more community service projects in the future.
